Diana Bob has been in practice since 2005 and has dedicated her career to matters involving Indian law, environmental law, and public policy at the tribal, federal, and state levels. Known for her commitment to ethical practice and for crafting innovative solutions that resolve complex, entrenched issues between parties, she represents tribes, tribal governments, and tribal-member-owned businesses, as well as developers, municipalities, and other entities that do business in Indian Country.
Before opening her law firm, Ms. Bob gained significant experience working as an in house attorney for the Lummi Nation, and for a large environmental law firm in Seattle. She has worked with several tribal governments and state and federal government agencies. She has helped clients navigate the processes at federal agencies including the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Park Service, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Her experience includes representing a tribal government regarding its opposition to a proposed coal export terminal project based upon federal trust responsibility duties, tribal treaty rights, and several federal and local environmental laws. She also provided advice and legal counsel to utilities with assets on or near tribal lands, and advised tribal clients on state and federal development permits for aquaculture projects.
Ms. Bob uses her extensive experience to represent tribes, tribal governments, and tribal interests. She is well-known and highly respected for her commitment to ethical practice, her knowledge of substantive Indian and environmental law and for the outstanding results she achieves on behalf of her clients.
Ms. Bob is an enrolled member of the Lummi Nation and is sensitive to the intersectional impact of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice issues. She also has over 15 years of professional, non-profit, and corporate board service, with significant budget, finance, audit, and executive oversight experience.
